August G. Larson, born at Buffalo Grove, Iowa August 9, 1883;

Was drowned at Crystal Lake, Iowa June 16, 1912.

He was married to Maude Johnson at St.Croix, Wis., March 15, 1910.

Besides his wife, he leaves to mourn his loss, father and mother,three brothers: Laurice, Willie, and Jimmie Larson, of Crystal township; three sisters: Mrs L.A. Nelson, and Mrs. Julius Jensen of Crystal Township, and Mrs P.A. Hanson of St. Croix, Wisconsin.

Relatives attending the funeral from a distance were: Mr & Mrs James Hendrich and son Ted, of Rankin, Ill.; Mr & Mrs P.A. Hanson, Mr & Mrs J.A. Johnson and daughter Neva of St. Corix, Wis.; Mr & Mrs W. L. Johnson of Kinyon, Minn.; Mr & Mrs L.S. Lewis and family of Forest City, and Mr & Mrs Christ Hanson of Albert Lea.

Funeral Services were held in the Upper Flat Church, June 19, 1912, and were conducted by C.E. Nelson and H.E. Hutchinson of Britt. A very large audience of friends and relatives were present to pay tribute of respect to the deceased and to manifest their sympathy for the bereaved family.

The floral offerings were many and beautiful. The interment was in the family lot at Crystal Lake Cemetery.
