George Klipping Funeral Service Held Saturday

Funeral services were held Saturday at The Methodist church in Forest City for George Klipping, 82, who died at Naeve hospital in Albert Lea, Minn., Feb. 24.

Mr. Klipping was a Hancock county supervisor for 12 years and lived southeast of Forest City for many years. He was Born Feb. 3, 1878, in Freeport, Ill.

The Rev. Dr. O. W. Brand officiated and burial was in Madison cemetery. Hanson Funeral home was in charge.

Ruth and Ronald Klipping were singers for the service. Pall bearers were: Alvin Klipping, Harvey Larson, M. L. Hartleip, Orville Bryant, Edward Schultz and Joe Schultz.

Survivors include two sons, Paul of Rake and George Jr. of Buffalo Center; three daughters, Mrs. Ralph (Genevieve) Larson of Clear Lake, Mrs. Walter (Pauline) Gorton and Evelyn Klipping, both of Waterloo; two brothers, Roy of Colorado and Elmer of Forest City; three sisters, Mrs. William (Jesse) Hartleip, Mrs. Louise Bryant and Mrs. Clarence (Ina) Geis, all of Waterloo; 10 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife and a daughter, Beatrice.
