Mrs. Elmer Anderson Funeral Services At Clear Lake

Funeral services were held Wednesday at Clear Lake for Mrs. Elmer Anderson, 77, mother of Shirley Anderson of Forest City. Mrs. Anderson died Saturday night at her home following a long illness.

Rites were conducted by Capt. Robert Stigleman of Mason City Salvation Army. Burial was in Madison cemetery south of Forest City.

Alberta Millie Peters was born April 6, 1883, at Forest City, the daughter of Albert and Nora Dunaway Peters. She attended Forest City schools and Oct. 18, 1902, married Elmer Anderson in Forest City. In 1930, they moved to Mason City. They moved to Clear Lake in 1949.

She was a member of the ranks of Salvation Army.

Surviving are: her husband; four sons: Lloyd of Clinton, Shirley of Forest City and Emory and Lyle of Mason City; and five daughters, Mrs. Charles (Mildred) Munson of Iowa Falls, Mrs. Jasper (Gertrude) Smith of Clinton, Mrs. Joe (Thora) Wenzel of Kansas City, Mrs. Donald (Velva) Rundle of Ogden, Utah, and Mrs. William (Marian) Baum of Clear Lake. There are also a sister, Mrs. Frank Holcomb of Forest City; 27 grandchildren and 33 great-grandchildren.
