Frank "Bud" Tienan.

Funeral services were held Monday for Frank A. "Bud" Tienan, 74, Mason City, who died Friday, May 1, at a Mason City hospital.

Officiating at the service at St. John's Lutheran Church northeast of Garner was Rev. Reynold Petersen. Burial was in the church cemetery.

Mr. Tienan graduated from Titonka High School and Hamilton Business College. He was in the farming and cattle business for 40 years. He retired and moved to Mason City in 1965 when he went into the real estate business He was an avid sportsman, interested in fishing and hunting and also played in a semi-professional baseball league and was a professional boxer.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha (O'Connor); one daughter, Mrs. "Wm. (Phyllis) Postma. NoVato, Calif; two sons, Frank Jr., St. Paul. Mn., and Douglas, Appopka. Fla.; four step-sons, Leo O'Connor, Doughtery; the Rev. John O'Connor. Dubuque; Donald O'Connor, Mason City; and Edward O'Connor, Osage: 20 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Nelson, Portland, Ore.; and Mrs. Minnie Samuelson, Arvada, Colo., and one brother, Paul of Burt.
