Services held for Herman W. Bohn

Herman W. Bohn, 70, died at his home Saturday, March 16, following a lingering illness.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, March 19, at St. John's Lutheran church. The Rev. Dennis Schlecht, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran church, officiated.

The church choir sang "For Me to Live in Jesus" and the congregation sang "The Lord is My Shepherd, I'll Not Want," accompanied by Mrs W. G. Boehnke.

Interment was made in St. John's Lutheran cemetery, with the Bohn Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Walter Roenfanz, Wilbur Hollatz, Arthur Bohn, Luther Pueggel, Earl Boehnke and Warren Thada served as pallbearers.

Herman Bohn, the son of William and Augusta Bohn, was born July 15, 1892, on a farm in Grant township, where he lived all his life. Nov. 9, 1927, he was married to Caroline Wrede, who died in August, 1928. September 25, 1930, he was married to Clara Pueggel.

Surviving are his wife, Clara; a daughter, Lois; three sisters, Mrs. Clara Roenfanz, Ventura; Mrs. Helena Jass, Garner; and Mrs. Henry Hollatz, Clear Lake.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Caroline; a son, two brothers and a sister.
