Mrs. Carrie Hall’s Services, Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. Ben (Carrie) Hall, 81, will be held at the Faith Lutheran Church at Miller, Thursday, October 23, at 2 p.m., with the Rev. Wendell Debner, officiating.

Text will be Luke 2:29,30 with meditation, “Lord, Now lettest thou thy servant depart.” Music will be congregational singing of, “Nearer My God to Thee” and soloist Shirley Anderson, will sing “In the Garden,” accompanied by organist Georgiann Hall.

Mrs. Hall died Monday at the Concord Manor Nursing Home. She was born July 12, 1888, south of Clear Lake, the daughter of Kristian and Sophine Andersen. She was married to Ben O. Hall at Clear Lake, January 10, 1917. The couple farmed in the Garner vicinity, until retirement in 1948, when they moved to Miller.

Following the death of her husband in 1966, Mrs. Hall moved to the Prairie View Apartments; then due to failing health, she was taken to the Hancock County Memorial Hospital at Britt and later to the Concord Manor Nursing Home.

Left to mourn her passing are four daughters, Mrs. Curtis (Ruth) Greimann, Klemme; Mrs. Richard (Olive) Holloway, Long Beach, Calif.; Mrs. Clarence (Alice) Schroeder, Cypress, Calif.; and Mrs. Curtis (Anna Mae) Upmeyer, Garner, and one son, Orville Hall, seventeen grandchildren, three great grandchildren and one brother, Andrew Andersen of Mason City.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one grandson.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Hall, Gary Hall, Dale Upmeyer, Vernon Greimann, Merle Hall and Everett Petersen.

Burial will be in the Ellington Prairie cemetery with the Bohn Funeral Home in charge.
