Death of J. T. Nichols

J. T. Nichols, one of the prominent farmers of Orthel township, died at his home last Sunday night at 8 o'clock. Mr. Nichols had been sick for the past month, but not considered serious until last Friday when he began to grow worse until his death relieved him. The cause of death was heart trouble.

Mr. Nichols was born in Maryland 60 years ago next March, from there moved to Illinois, and came to Hancock county nine years ago settling in Orthel township, which has since been his home. His wife and seven children survive him. Funeral services were held at the family home yesterday and the remains were brought to Britt and buried in Evergreen cemetery.
