Death of Maud Welty

Maud Lucille, daughter of Prof. C. D. Welty died at her home in this city on Thursday evening at the age of 11 years, 3 months and 1 day. The cause of death was pneumonia which had been preceded by measles.

The funeral occurred at 2 o'clock on Sunday at the Methodist church Rev. Cole conducting the services and six school mates of the deceased acting as pall bearers. The floral offerings from school mates, teachers, relatives and friends, both at home and from abroad, were numerous and very beautiful. Maud was a very bright child and had many friends who were extremely sorry to hear of her untimely death and will extend their heartfelt sympathy to the bereaved family.
