Services or Aurelia M. Erdman, 94, Garner, who died Monday, Oct. 19, 1992 at her home in Garner, will be held 10:30 a.m., Thursday, Oct. 22 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Garner with Rev. Fr. John W. Hemann as celebrant.

Music will be provided by organist, Mrs. Ronald Kumsher, who will accompany soloist, Julianne Klesel, and the church choir. Ushers will be Elmer Urich and Duane Severson.

Casket bearers will be Dick Voortmann, Dennis Ditter, Verne Hejlik, Ronald Hejna, Gary Schisel and Elmer Young.

Burial will be at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery, Garner. Visitation will be from 3-9 p.m., Wednesday at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel. A Rosary Society rosary will be held at 7 p.m. and a Scriptural Wake Service at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday evening at the funeral chapel.

Aurelia Marie Erdman, the daughter of Patrick Joseph and Helena (Weigel) McCoy, was born October 30, 1897 on a farm near Story City. She attended rural schools near Story City and then received her teaching certificate from the University of Northern Iowa at Cedar Falls. She taught in the rural schools of Spencer and Story City and also gave piano lessons.

August 29, 1922, she married Anthony John Erdman at St. Peter & Paul's Catholic Church in Gilbert. They farmed near Milford until 1932 when they moved to Marshalltown. In 1940, they moved to Mason City, in 1944 to Belmond and in 1966 to Garner.

She was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church and the Rosary Society in Garner.

She is survived by four daughters, Donella Erdman of Garner, Mrs. Kathryn McLeod of Ann Arbor, MI, Mrs. Rose Nelson of Garden Grove, CA, and Helen Erdman of Garner; 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Agatha Rea of Boone and Mrs. Reinelda Baldus and her husband, Earl of Ames; and a brother, Raphael McCoy of Payson, AZ.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony Erdman on April 7, 1984; her son, Robert E. Erdman on October 7, 1989, her parents; and two brothers, Ambrose McCoy, at the age of 11, and Sylvester McCoy.
