Walter R. Agnew Services Sunday

Graveside services for former Hayfield businessman Walter R. Agnew, 70, of Fayetteville, Ark., were held at Madison township cemetery Sunday, the Rev. Max Goldman of the First Methodist church, Forest City, officiating.

Mr. Agnew died of cancer at the Fayetteville Veterans Hospital Oct. 12. He was born at Inland [Finland], in 1892.

Mr. Agnew came to Hayfield in the 1920's and was in business there until 1956 when he moved to Tucson, Ariz. Later, he moved to Fayetteville.

Survivors include two sisters, Mrs. F. G. (Maude) Williams of Cedar Rapids, Mrs. Emmanuel (Mable) Stearns of Cedar Point, two nephews and a niece.
