Services for Louise C. Hansmeier, 87, Crystal Lake, who died Tuesday, Nov. 14, 1995, at the Westview Care Center in Britt, were held Thursday, Nov. 16, 1:30 p.m., at the United Methodist Church In Crystal Lake with Rev. Kenneth Suetterlin officiating.

Music was provided by organist, Mabel Rensink, who accompanied soloist, Rev. Kenneth Suetterlin, and the congregation hymns. Ushers were James Sorenson and Wilbur Peterson.

Honorary casket bearers were Kenneth Shave and Donald Limberg.

Active bearers were Dennis Hagen, Ernie Riggle, Galen Wooge, Ron Swanson, Calvin Voigt and Terry Olsen.

Burial was at the Crystal Lake Township Cemetery, Crystal Lake, with Ewing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Louise Clare Hansmeier, the daughter of August and Sophie Christiana Pfluger, was born November 21, 1907, at Neidlingen, Germany. At the age of 16 she moved to Crystal Lake and worked for the Rouss Family.

February 27, 1932, she married Harry Hansmeier in Wesley. The couple farmed north of Crystal Lake. Following Harry's death, Louise continued to live at the farm until entering the Westview Care Center in the summer of 1995. Louise loved flowers and collecting stones.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Crystal Lake.

She is survived by three daughters, Viola Pottroff and her husband, Clifford of Jefferson, Evelyn Gold and her husband, Ronald of Norwalk and Mary Ree and her husband, John of Burt; one son, Vernon of Forest City: 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and one sister, Christiana (Nana) Bauer of Wendlingen, Germany.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one brother, two sisters and one great-grandchild.
