Hannah A. Hanson [Hansen] services Saturday

Funeral services for Mrs. Hannah A. Hanson of Miller were conducted Saturday afternoon at Faith Lutheran church in Miller. The Rev. Emil Martinson officiated.

Mrs. Emil Martinson was soloist for the service and Mrs. Ronald Anderson, organist.

Casket bearers were Arlo Hanson, Joel Hanson, Lowell Hanson, Ronald Hanson, Terry Rasmussen and Gary Wilson. Burial was to take place later this spring in the Madison Township cemetery. Petersen Funeral home was in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Hanson, 95, died March 16 at a Mason City hospital after an illness of one week.

Hannah A. Hanson was born March 4, 1888, in St. Paul, Minn. When she was a small child she came to live with the Jens K. Jefson family near Miller. She was married to Lewis Hanson Oct. 6, 1906, at the Jefson family home.

The couple started farming near Thompson and moved to a farm near Miller in 1912. Mr. Hanson died Aug. 22, 1964. In 1967, Mrs. Hanson sold the farm and since then has made her home with her son, Ernest and his family.

Mrs. Hanson has been a long-time member of Faith Lutheran church and received a 50-year pin from A.L.C.W. of the church.

Survivors include her 10 children, Mrs. Mary Stewart of Oklahoma City, Okla., Mrs. Pearl Pinkerton of Costa Mesa, Calif., Ernest Hanson, Milton Hanson and Mrs. Alvin (Lula) Schroeder, all of Garner, Raymond Hanson of LeRoy, Minn., Mrs. Forrest (Dorothy) Wilson of Crystal Lake, Earl Hanson of Santa Anna, Calif., Duane Hanson and Mrs. Dwayne (Vivian) Rasmussen of Forest City; 28 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren and 17 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Laura, in infancy, her husband and three grandchildren, Lois Jones, Marilyn Schroeder and Gene Hanson.
