Services for Evelyn M. Hansen, 93, Clear Lake, who died Friday, Nov. 28, 1997, at the Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake, were held Monday, Dec. 1, 1997. 1:30 p.m., at the Ewing Funeral Chapel in Britt with Rev. Robert Snitzer officiating.

Music was provided by organist. Rev. Kenneth Suetterlin, who accompanied soloist, Carol Evers.

Casket bearers were Mike Heinzerling, Chuck Shea, Denny Koehler, Tim Valley, Marshall Korte and Nathan Wittenberg.

Burial was at the Crystal Lake Cemetery, Crystal Lake with Ewing Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

Evelyn M. Hansen, daughter of Christian M. and Clara Nelson Christenson, was born June 19, 1904, near Britt. She attended the country schools.

February 18, 1931, she married Harvey Hansen at her parents' home near Britt. The Couple farmed in the Britt and Crystal Lake area. In November of 1984 she moved into Britt until March of 1994 when she moved to the Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake.

She is survived by three daughters. Marilyn Korte of Mason City. Inez Elaine Vestweber and her husband, John of Webster City. and Clare Wittenberg and her husband. Mike of Eau Claire, WI; nine grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; a half-sister, Deloris Leaman and her husband, Dean of Columbus, MD; and a step-sister, Evelyn Kyhl of Britt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1955, her step-mother, two brothers, one half-sister, one step-sister and one grandson.
