Darlene Lunning Died at Forest City Hospital Friday, August 24

Hayfield - Darlene Lunning, 12 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Lunning, who reside on the Bob Riehm farm southeast of Hayfield, passed away Friday, August 24, the day after she had reached the age of 12 years. She had been taken to a Forest City hospital on the previous day.

The little girl had been sick for many months and most of the summer had been confined to her bed. Her illness followed a severe case of the measles, which left her with a heart ailment and other complications.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the home and at 3 o'clock at the Lutheran church in Forest City.

She is survived by her parents, one sister and four brothers.
