Funeral Services For Mrs. Paul Lau Conducted Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Paul (Velma) Lau, 56, who died Tuesday at a Rochester hospital, were held 1:30 p.m., Friday, February 18, 1977, at the Peace Reformed Church in Garner. Rev. Lloyd Gross officiated. Organist, Mrs. Stanley Peter, accompanied Bill Renner and Dean Stromer, who sang as a duet.

Casketbearers were: Mervin Groesbeck, Eugene Greiman, Curtis Greiman, Robert Scott, Royce Kaduce and Carroll Kaduce.

Burial was in the Peace Reformed Church Cemetery. Bohn-Cataldo Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Velma Lau, the daughter of John and Nellie (Suntken) Kaduce, was born September 3, 1920, near Alexander, Iowa. Her family moved to a farm north of Klemme where she attended school.

On December 17, 1943, she was married to Paul Lau at Klemme. They farmed in the Goodell, Klemme, and Garner areas.

Velma was a member of the Peace Reformed Church in Garner where she belonged to the Women's Missionary Society.

She is survived by her husband, Paul; two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Janelle) Renner of Klemme and Mrs. David (Marian) Scott of Ames, three sons, Graydon and his wife Sally, Dennie and Mark of Garner; seven grandchildren; her father, John Kaduce, Sr. of Klemme; a sister, Mrs. George (Della) Magarrel of Albany, Oregon; and two brothers, John and Leonard Kaduce of Klemme.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Mrs. John Kaduce Sr. and her brother, Theodore Kaduce.
