Sunday evening a telegram came to J. A. Treganza ordering the hearse to meet the morning C.M. & St.P. train from the east to convey the remains of Mrs. Margerite Godefroy to her last resting place by the side of her husband in Evergreen cemetery.

The Godefroy family lived in Britt for many years and two children and the father were buried here several years ago. Mr. Godefroy was an old soldier and was buried by the G.A.R. The remains of his widow were taken to the G.A.R. hall where they were met by the W.R.C. of Britt and at 3 o'clock p.m. were conveyed to the cemetery and laid to rest.

Deceased was living at Elgin, Ill., at the time of her death and was brought to Britt by her son W. D. Godefroy.
