Mrs. Gram's Rites To Be Held Thurs. In Goodell Church

Former Resident Of Goodell Died Monday In Cedar Falls After Long Illness

Goodell - Mrs. J. B. Gram, formerly Mette Katherine Skow, age 70, died Monday, Sept. 2, at 2:30 a.m., of cancer in her home, 109 Tremont street, Cedar Falls.

She was born in Germany July 9, 1870, and married J. B. Gram Aug. 28, 1888. To this union were born one daughter and six sons. One son, Alfred, was lost during the World War.

Surviving are Chris Gram of Nora Springs, Bert Gram of Rowan, Harry, Clarence and Jesse of Cedar Falls, Caroline Brown of Mifflinville, Penn.; 19 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Fred and Chris Skow of Watertown, S.D.; and one sister, Annie Anderson of Los Angeles, Calif.

Funeral rites will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Brown funeral home in Cedar Falls and at 2 p.m. at the Goodell church with the Rev. Lloyd Patton officiating.

The Grams lived in this community many years, farming on the Burgess farm, moving to Cedar Falls several years ago. Interment will be in the family lot in the local cemetery.
