Funeral Services For H. W. Thompson Monday Afternoon

Funeral services for Henry William Thompson, 66, 700 N. 12th Street, who died suddenly Friday morning at his place of business at 498 N. Shore Drive, were held at the St. John's Lutheran Church, northwest of Ventura Monday afternoon with the Rev. A. T. Rueber, officiating. Burial was in St. John's cemetery. The church choir sang "Be Still My Soul" and Douglas Tienan, soloist, sang "The Lord's Prayer", Mrs. W. G. Boehnke, organist, was accompanist.

Mrs. S. W. Fleming and Mrs. Donald Carr arranged the flowers. Pallbearers were Art Bless, William Pueggel, Sidney Halford, S. W. Fleming, Loren Whelan, Richard Hanna, Earl W. Kimball and Arthur Armsbury.

Those from out of town who attended the services include Mr. and Mrs. George Thompson, Omaha, Neb.; Mrs. Elanor Shaw, Lincoln, Neb.; Howard Chamberlain, Omaha, Neb.; Floyd and Melvin Schauland, Joliet, Ill,; Mr. and Mrs. Roger Kubicek and daughter, Savella, Cedar Falls; Mrs. Robert Krittenbrink, Papillion, Neb. and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Foster, Cambridge, Wis.

Neighbors and friends served the noon lunch at the home and the Ladies Aid of St. John's church served lunch at the church following the services.

Henry William (Harry) Thompson was born January 20, 1890 at Wayland, Neb. He was married Feb. 13, 1917 to Emma Schauland, He had lived in Ventura where he operated a general store, oil station and grocery store, and moved to Clear Lake where he operated the Harry Thompson Market and owned and operated the Bev-Mart at 480 N. Shore Drive,

Mr. Thompson is survived by his wife, one son, Robert, Omaha, and two sisters, Ethel Grice, Litchfield, Neb.; and Ruth Chamberlain, Lincoln, Neb.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one sister and two children in infancy.
