Carl C. Schwisow Funeral Is Friday
Funeral services for Carl Christian Schwisow, who died late Tuesday evening at a Mason City hospital will be held Friday, Jan. 18 at 2 p.m. at St. John's church Ventura with the Rev. A. E. Ruber, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in the St. John's Cemetery. Wilcox Funeral Home has charge.
Carl Schwisow was born Jan. 15, 1892 at Bower, Neb, the son of Louis and Anna Schwisow. He farmed in the Ventura community for nine years. He served in World War I and was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion at Fairbury, Neb.
He is survived by his wife, Minnie; two daughters, Mrs. Edwin Wessner and Mrs. Marvin Brager; six grandchildren; two brothers, Louis, Fairbury, Neb. and Paul, Powell, Neb.; three sisters, Mrs. Carl Mees and Mrs. Ella Gehirt both of Fairbury, Neb. and Miss Edna Schwisow, Omaha, Neb.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife and one sister and one brother.
