Obituary

Ella Louise Runge, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Runge, was born November 15th, 1897, near Klemme, Iowa, and died at the age of 22 years and four months, at the parents home, March 21st, 1920. The cause of her death was influenza followed by pneumonia.

Ella was endowed with a strong body and one expected that death would so soon overtake her. All the skillful doctors and loving hands could do was done to save her life by all efforts proved of no avail before the grim messenger of Death, and on Sunday night at nine o'clock she quietly and peacefully closed her eyes and slumbered into the Great Beyond where sorrow and pain are forever unknown. Ella was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church in Liberty township. She leaves to mourn her early death her father, mother, one brother, besides many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were conducted at the family home on Tuesday afternoon. As her pastor, Rev. A. Meyer was not able to lead the services on account of sickness, Rev. Wm. Koerner conducted the service and interment was made in Liberty township cemetery.
