Lars Pederson, aged citizen and Iowa pioneer, died at his home in the north part of town on Friday, September 24. He was almost 81 years old.

Mr. Pederson was born in Faaberg, Norway, and came to this country in 1858 settling in Clayton county, this state. In 1872 he moved to Ellington township and there resided on the farm until 1896 when he moved to Clear Lake.

He is survived by his wife and a son who lives in Miller. The funeral was on Sunday, brief services at the house, and interment in Ellington cemetery.
