Former Resident Dies In Kansas

Elias E. Perrigo, an old resident of Hancock county, died at his home at Parker, Kansas, last Thursday, February 6. The remains left Parker Friday, but have not yet reached Garner. Funeral arrangements cannot be made until the remains reach here.

Mr. Perrigo was a resident of the Goodell-Amsterdam neighborhood in the early 70's and later lived in Garner, and then Forest City.

He was a resident of the county some thirty years, and left here about thirty years ago, moving from here to Kansas where he remained until the time of his death.

In the Goodell neighborhood, here and at Forest City he engaged in the stock business, as well as farming. Many of the older residents knew Mr. Perrigo and speak well of him.

His first wife and three children died here and were buried here more than 50 years ago. He married a second time, and the second Mrs. Perrigo survives.

T. B. Law of St Paul, a brother of the present Mrs. Perrigo, came to Garner on learning of the death of Mr. Perrigo, and remained for the funeral. Mrs. Perrigo was unable to make the trip here.
