Mother Mrs. J. E. Fraser Buried Here September 27

The remains of Mrs. Mary Stanton, mother of Mrs. J. E. Fraser, were shipped to Garner from Cherokee for burial, Saturday, September 27. This venerable old lady had reached the age of 96 years.

She was born in the state of New York in the year 1838. If we mistake not, she lived with her daughter, Mrs. Fraser, in Garner many years ago. For the past 32 years she had been at Cherokee. The cause of her death, which occurred September 25, is given as arteriosclerosis.
