Bertha Stanford was born at Tonica, Illinois, June 25, 1873. Married at Morrice, Illinois, February 1, 1900 to G. D. McNabb. She died Wednesday, February 22, 1905. The funeral was in the Congregational church Friday, at 10 a.m. Rev. Marshall of Britt conducted the service. The text was "Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord." The remains were laid at rest in Concord cemetery.

Mesdames Hoag, Brackett, Amsden and Abbey furnished music - one quartet and two double duets. The pieces were by selection, "Rock of Ages," "One by One" and "Some Time We'll Understand."

Mrs. McNabb sought her saviour and joined the Congregational church in girlhood. She was an earnest worker and had much to do in organizing and keeping up the C. E. Society in her church. She was also a good worker in the Sunday School prior to her marriage. Her husband and four children, the youngest of whom is an infant, survive her. Human judgment should indicate that her children needed her, but it was not to be. The sympathy of all is extended to the grief stricken husband and orphan children.
