Goodell - News reached here Friday that Wm. Langlitz had died at Mercy hospital in Mason City at 3:00 o'clock. "Bill" as he was better known to all his friends, had suffered many sieges of sickness during his life, but of late years had enjoyed better health, until a few weeks ago when he again became ill. He submitted to a major operation two weeks ago, from which he rallied but as days went by he grew weaker.
Frederick William Langlitz, son of John and Wilhelmina Langlitz, was born at Belmond Aug. 1, 1882, and died June 23 at the age of 61 years, 10 months and 23 days.
April 9, 1908 he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Rust and they began housekeeping in a home in Goodell, later moving to a farm east of here. In the spring of 1931 they moved to a farm near Meservey where they resided until 1938 when they moved to the W. F. Beier farm northwest of Klemme, which is now their home.
Three sons were born to them, Ira Langlitz of Goodell, Forrest Langlitz at home and Elmer Langlitz, who is stationed with the U.S. army at Camp Stuart, Ga.
Besides his wife and three sons, surviving are two sisters, Mrs. Anton Boller, Goodell; Mrs. Edward Hughes, Hampton; two brothers, George and Irvin Langlitz, Meservey; and three grandchildren, Eileen, Kenneth and Larry Langlitz of Goodell.
Mr. Langlitz, who possessed a sunny disposition, was loved by everyone, numbering his friends by his acquaintances.

Cook, Mrs. Robert McNutt and Amos Hanson and Mrs. Knight at the piano. Pallbearers were Art, Vic and Geo. Schoenwetter, Elmer Beier, Wm. E. Lemke and Lew Abele all of Klemme.
