Body of Mrs. Cena Anderson Brought to Goodell for Burial

Goodell - Cena Anderson Hanson was born in Denmark, March 7, 1846 and came to America in 1878, locating at Alexander, Iowa. September 16, 1882, she was married to Peter Hanson. To this union three boys were born, Andrew of Britt, Hans of Alta Vista, and Charles of Owatonna, Minn.

Mr. Hanson died in 1895 and in 1897 she was married to another Peter Hanson, who died two years later. The family lived in the old town here a number of years, later moving near Kanawha and finally to Britt.

The last three years she has made her home at Alta Vista where she passed away Friday, February 3, at the age of 87 years. Mrs. Hanson was confirmed in the Lutheran Danish church when a girl. She leaves to mourn her loss, three sons, a sister in Waterloo, twelve grandchildren and three great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at the U. B. Church with Rev. Harry Herlein officiating. The men's choir sang. Interment was made in the Amsterdam cemetery. Pallbearers were old friends from Kanawha.
