A. W. Thiemann rites at Klemme

Funeral services for Alvin William Thiemann were held Friday, Nov. 6, at the Immanuel United Church of Christ. The Rev. E. H. Lauer officiated.

Comfort in music was supplied by Mrs. Milvern Barz, Mrs. A. H. Dulmes, Raymond Wille and Milvern Barz, accompanied by Mrs. E. A. Gerardi, organist.

Burial was made in Ell township cemetery, Klemme. Pallbearers were Awalt Jahnke, Paul Thiemann, Aaron Wille, Maurice Murray, Menno Albers and Alvin Albers.

Alvin William Thiemann, the son of Herman and Minnie nee Warner Thiemann, was born January 31, 1911, in Cerro Gordo County, Iowa. Born into a Christian home, he received the sacrament of holy baptism March 12, 1911, and entered into communicant membership in Immanuel United Church of Christ (Evangelical and Reformed) by rite of confirmation in 1926.

He grew to adulthood in the Klemme community and made his home in the town of Klemme for the past 20 years. The work of his lifetime was varied - farming, tiling, and work in the elevator at Klemme being among jobs at which he labored.

On January 25, 1934, Alvin was united in marriage with Jennie Albers. Four children were born to their union: Delores, Donald, Eva and Robert.

Alvin Thiemann departed this life during the early morning of November 3, 1959, in his home in Klemme. He is survived by his wife Delores (Mrs. Floyd) DeLawyer of Tuscon, Arizona, Donald of Ellsworth, S.D., Eva (Mrs. Larry) Hanson, and Robert of Klemme; his mother, Mrs. Minnie Thiemann and brother, Edwin both of Klemme; his sister, Mrs. Arnold Hoveland of Mason City; eight grandchildren; many other relatives and a great number of friends.
