Corwith woman is stroke victim

Mrs. Frank Clapsaddle, 83, of Corwith, died July 14, 12:30 a.m. at the Britt Memorial hospital, after a cerebral hemorrhage the day before.

Funeral services were Saturday, 1:30 at the home and 2 p.m. at the First Baptist church, Corwith, with the Rev. LeRoy Wagoner and Rev. Paul Williams, of Hawarden, a former pastor, in charge. Burial was in the Corwith cemetery.

Mrs. Clapsaddle was born Clara Marie Heimbrodt, August 12, 1876, at Giard. May 29, 1902, she was married to John W. Patterson. They had one daughter, Evelyn, Mrs. Cecil Bogard, Mankato, Minn. Mr. Patterson died in 1934. Nov. 10, 1943, she was married to Frank Clapsaddle.

Survivors include her husband, daughter, two grandsons, James and John, and a number of step children; three sisters; Mrs. Louis Escher, Corwith; Mrs. Emma Knight, Eagle Grove, and Mrs. Ella Hartbeck, Maynard.
