Funeral Services to Be Held Monday at Reform Church
Wesley - Funeral services for Meindert Meyer, 56, who died at the Kossuth hospital in Algona Thursday night of a heart ailment, will be held at the Christian Reform church eight miles northwest of town, Monday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. Short prayer services will be held at the Meyer home at 1 o'clock and the Rev. Mr. Kuizema will be in charge.
Mr. Meyer was born in Germany Oct. 4, 1884, and came to America in 1901. Later he was married to Miss Rose Knapper. The couple had no children of their own, but had one adopted son, Harm, at home. Besides his wife and adopted son, he leaves two brothers, Will and Henry Meyer of Wesley, and a half brother, Henry VanBriesen of Oregon, Ill.
Mr. Meyer was well known in this community having been one of the leading farmers in this community for many years.
Burial will take place in the Christian Reform church cemetery.
