Mrs. D. J. Meyer Passes

Mrs. D. J. Meyer, wife of Rev. D. J. Meyer of Woden passed away at a Rochester hospital on the evening of February 1, at the age of 57 years. Mrs. Meyer had been in poor health for some time and had been at the hospital two weeks following an operation.

Mrs. Meyer was born at Owensville, Missouri, on December 20, 1881. The family lived in Woden several years, moving there when Rev. Meyer retired from the pastorate of the Ostfriesland Christian Reformed church in Bingham township.

Surviving Mrs. Meyer are her husband, the Rev. D. J. Meyer, five sons, John of Canton, Minn., Paul, Edwin, Dan and Elmer, all of the Woden neighborhood, and four daughters, Mrs. Conrad Limberg, Mrs. Harm Eden, Mrs. Ed Limberg, all of Woden, and Ruth at home.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at 12:30 at the home and at 1 o'clock at the Ostfriesland Christian Reformed church in Bingham township with the Rev. H. J. Kulzema officiating. Burial was in Bingham township cemetery.

Pallbearers were Tom Hinder, Claus DeBoer, Anna Abbas, Ben Limberg, Christian Peters and Harm Hillenga Sr.
