Marvin Keith Lackore, the son of Harris and Hazel (Pringle) Lackore, was born May 31, 1927 on a farm near Hayfield. He graduated from Hayfield Consolidated High School and continued his education at Upper Iowa University in Fayette. After college, he returned home to help his family on the farm. On December 23, 1946 he married Cleola A. Boller at Wichita, KS. They lived on the home farm near Hayfield where they raised their five children. In recent years, playing cards down at "The Office" with "The Boys" was the highlight of his day. He was an avid sports and Garner-Hayfield Cardinal fan attending many games throughout the years. Family was very important to Marv. He enjoyed spending time with his family, his grandchildren, great-grandchildren and his many friends.

He was a member of the United Methodist Church and Garner Lions Club serving as past president.
