Woden - Funeral services for Edwin S. Hillenga, 53, will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at Woden Christian Reformed Church, southwest of Woden.

The Rev. Henry Baak will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at Grupe Funeral Home in Britt until 10 a.m. Friday, then at the church.

Born near Woden July 30, 1918, he was the son of Harm and Stenja Hillenga. He was graduated from Woden High School and had farmed in this area all his life. He served as director of the Wesley Farmers Cooperative Company and was married to Erna Iverson July 19, 1941, at Elmore, Minn.

He died Tuesday at Hancock County Memorial Hospital.

Surviving are his wife, four daughters, Mrs. John Smidt, Burt; Mrs. Gerald Hunter, Minneapolis; Mrs. Dean Haugland, Woden; Carol, at home; two sons, Edwin, Wesley; Dean, at home; seven grandchildren, a brother, Siebo Hillenga, Phoenix, Ariz.
