Waif Waltman

Corwith - Funeral services for Waif Waltman, 64, were conducted Monday afternoon at the Methodist Church. The Rev. Frank Considine officiated and burial was in the Corwith Cemetery. The Blake Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Waltman died Wednesday at Hancock County Hospital in Britt of injuries suffered in a combine accident two weeks earlier.

He was born Jan. 14, 1902, at Fremont, the son of Jessie and Jane Waltman. He was married to Stella VanNote on Jan. 2, 1925, at Burt. They made their home at Burt until 1938, when they moved to the Corwith area.

He is survived by his wife; a son, Eugene, Corwith; a daughter, Mrs. John (Sharon) VanTuyl, Des Moines; six grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Robert Ditsworth, Jefferson, and Opal Waltman, Burt, and a brother, Clinton, Burt. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
