Elsa Taylor

Forest City - Elsa Taylor, 75, died Thursday at a Mason City hospital. She was the widow of Harrison Taylor.

Born Feb. 4, 1892, at Lost Nation, she was the daughter of Hans and Anna Stoltenberg, For many years the Taylors farmed near Hayfield and moved to Forest City when they retired.

Surviving are four sons, Merle Taylor, Brewster, N. Y.; Neil Taylor, Auke Bay, Alaska; Owen Taylor, Clear Lake; Ivan Taylor, Waterloo; a daughter, Mrs. Virgil (Bernice) Sellers, Marion, Iowa; two brothers, Henry and Arlo Stoltenberg, both of Belmond; two sisters, Mrs. Anna Schulz, Hayfield; Mrs. William (Emma) Barton, Tucson, Ariz.; 21 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at Methodist Church in Forest City. The Rev. Max Goldman will officiate. Burial will be in Madison Township Cemetery with Olson Funeral Home in charge.
