A. Sonerholm, Britt, Dies; Rites Friday

Britt - Albert O. Sonerholm, 82, longtime resident of Hancock County, died Tuesday afternoon at a hospital in Fort Dodge. He underwent surgery on May 15.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Evangelical Church here with the Rev. E. V. Streed officiating. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery with the Osman Funeral Home in charge.

Mr. Sonerholm was born Dec. 24, 1874, at Elkhart, Ind., the son of Charles and Sarah Sonerholm. He moved with his parents to a farm south of Britt.

On Feb. 26, 1902, he was married to Thilda Christianson and farmed north of Britt for several years, moving to Crystal Lake until 1945. They retired to Britt in 1945. They celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary this year with an open house. He is a member of the Odd Fellows, who will conduct graveside services.

Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Holman C. Anderson, Clarion; Mrs. James B. Slattenow, Iowa Falls; Mrs. Henry Steiner, Fort Dodge; seven grandsons; three sisters, Lettie Christianson, Wadena, Minn.; Mabel Sasse, Blue Earth, Minn., and Mrs. Harold Hesley, Britt, and two brothers, Lars Sonerholm, Long Prairie, and Carl Sonerholm, Britt
