P.G. Loth dies in local nursing home
Clear Lake - Paul Gustav Loth, 88, died Saturday afternoon in a Clear Lake nursing home after a long illness.
He was born March 5, 1879, in Germany, the son of William and Louise (Sandow) Loth. He had lived in the Clear Lake area, where he farmed, for several years and had lived in the United States 67 years.
Paul Gustav Loth and Amalea Luker were married March 26, 1918.
He is survived by three sons, Louie, Belmond; Martin, Abbots Ford, Wis.; Lawrence, Salsbury, Mo.; one daughter, Lillian VonLane, Reno, Nev.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Amalea, in March 1966.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in St, John's Lutheran Church, Ventura. The Rev. L. G. Leonard will officiate. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery. The Wilcox Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
