Joseph A. Kramer Passes Away At Forest City

Joseph A. Kramer died Sunday afternoon at the hospital at Forest City following a lingering illness. He suffered a series of paralytic strokes over a period of years and had been gradually failing in health since the first attack a number of years ago.

Mr. Kramer was born at Yates Center, Kansas. He was married to Charlotte Meyer, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Meyer of Woden in 1908. Most of their married life was spent in this vicinity. He operated a General Store with two brothers, and later a Meat Market for many years in Woden. He was also manager of the Woden Telephone Company for some time.

Surviving, besides his wife, are a son and four daughters, Mrs. Albert (Augusta) Grubb of Houston, Texas; Mrs. Glen (Louise) Thompson of Mankato, Minn.; Mrs. Gordon (Clara) Volding of Britt; Mrs. Howard (Mildred) Fredrickson of Woden; and Ernest Kramer of Houston, Texas. Also surviving are nine grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Amolia Stohr of LeRoy, Minnesota.

Mr. and Mrs. Kramer observed their 50th wedding anniversary on January 15, 1958.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 16,, at 2:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church with the Rev. E. R. Sommerfeld officiating. Burial was in Bingham Township Cemetery.
