Mrs. Kitner dies at 57 in Iowa City

Ethel Elizabeth Kitner, 57, wife of John Kitner, Route 4, Mason City, died Wednesday morning in a hospital in Iowa City. Funeral arrangements are incomplete. The Olson Funeral Home in Forest City is in charge.

Mrs. Kitner was born Oct. 31, 1909, in Garner, daughter of Charles and Julia Fenninger. She was married to John Kitner, Jan. 21, 1931, in Forest City.

Surviving are her husband, two sons, Paul and Marvin, and a daughter, Jane, all of Mason City; two half sisters, Mrs. Leata Schneider and Mrs. Glennie Evenson, both of Clear Lake; two grandsons, Scott and Mark, and five grand daughters, Kim, Tammy, Sheryl, Gretchen and Dawn.

Mrs. Kitner was preceded in death by two daughters, a son in infancy, a half brother and a half sister.
