RITES HELD FOR GARNER WOMAN

Mrs. Ella Morgan, 69, Is Buried in Garner; Was Born in Illinois

GARNER, Oct. 25 - Funeral services for Mrs. Ella Morgan 69, were held here yesterday in the Methodist church. The Rev. H VanMetre her former pastor officiated. Music was furnished by the Rev. VanMetre and Mrs. J. R. Mounce.

Burial was in Concord cemetery beside the body of her husband who died here four years ago.

Mrs. Morgan was born in Plano, Ill., where she grew to womanhood. She was married to Joseph H. Morgan Nov. 11, 1884. To them were born seven children. The five living accompanied the body. They are Ernest, Minneapolis; Horace, Chicago; Harlan, Albert Lea; Milton, South Bend, Ind. and Irene. One died in infancy and Vera Cottrell, who lived in Garner several years, died in Fort Dodge five years ago.

Following their marriage in 1886 they lived in Morganville, Kans., until 1888 when they moved to Algona where he became the first telegraph operator and agent of the M. & St. L. railroad, a position held by him for years.

From Algona they moved to Garner. From then until his death four years ago he was interested in a big salt concern in Kansas, with his headquarters in Garner. Their daughter Irene was graduated from the Garner high school. Mrs. Morgan was a member of the local Methodist church.
