Services Are Held
For Irving Merten

Funeral services for Irving Merten, 82, were held at the Bohn Funeral home at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 15 with the Rev. J. Dallas Gibson officiating. Interment was made in the family lot in Concord township cemetery.

Mr. Merten, who had been at the Hancock County Home for many years, fell and broke his hip April 28, and was taken to a hospital in Mason City where he passed away Thursday.

He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Merten and was born in Garner 82 years ago. He leaves a sister, Edith Ackerman, of California and nieces and nephews.
