MRS. MEINECKE DIES AT HOME

Lifelong Resident of Hancock County

GARNER - Mrs. Fred L. Meinecke, 56, died at her farm home in Ellington township Tuesday morning following an illness of about eight months which confined her to her home.

Minnie Anderson was born March 1, 1886, in Hancock county, Iowa, the daughter of Marian and John Anderson. She received her early schooling in Hancock county and later attended college at Humboldt. She lived her entire life in this county. She taught piano in this vicinity several years.

On March 4, 1906, she was married to Fred L. Meinecke and to them were born three sons, Glenn, Bremerton, Wash., Allen of Mason City and Russell of Forest City.

The couple lived five miles northeast of Garner two years and then moved to its present home.

Surviving are her husband and three sons, three sisters, Mrs. M. A. Hanson, Anamosa; Mrs. L. B. Olson and Mrs. A. M. Rosendahl, Garner, and two brothers, Magnus Anderson and John Anderson, both of Garner. The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at the home at 1 o'clock and at 2 o'clock at the Ellington Prairie Lutheran church, with the Rev. Chester Olsen of Miller in charge.
