PIONEER FROM CORWITH DIES
Mrs. W. P. Chambers Funeral Conducted, Interment Is Made
CORWITH - Mrs. W. P. Chambers, 68, pioneer resident of Corwith and daughter of one of Corwith's first merchants, died early Sunday at Mason City following a long illness.
Her father was one of the early merchants in Corwith having operated a meat market on Main street for many years.
Mrs. Chambers was a member of the Methodist church in Corwith where she was organist for more than 40 years beginning when she was only 12 years old. She received her education in music at LeMars and was an instructor of piano in Corwith for many years. She was married to W. P. Chambers May 13, 1896. They made their home in Corwith until about 10 years ago. Since then they had lived in the southern states.
Surviving are her husband, three children, Forest of University City, Mo.; Everett of Granada, Minn., and Mrs. Olene Jacobsen of Graettinger and five grandchildren, Lynn and Kenneth Chambers of University City, Mo., Margaret Chambers of Granada, Minn., and Madge and Daniel Jacobson of Graettinger.
Funeral services were held Tuesday from the Ed Chambers home southwest of Corwith and at 2 o'clock at the Methodist church. The Rev. C. B. Mirchell of Buffalo Center, a former pastor of the Methodist church in Corwith officiates, assisted by the Rev. A. J. Barkley. Interment was made in the Corwith cemetery.

MRS. CHAMBERS SERVICES HELD
Resident of Corwith More Than 50 Years Died After Illness
CORWITH - Funeral services for Mrs. W. P. Chambers, 67, resident of Corwith for more than 50 years, were held Tuesday afternoon at the Ed Chambers home southwest of Corwith and at the Methodist church. The Rev C. B. Mitchell of Buffalo Center delivered the sermon and the Rev. A. J. Barkley officiated.
George Gaskill, Harry Caldwell, Mrs. B. A. Ross and Mrs. W. H. Perkins sang accompanied by Mrs. J. W. Duckett.
Interment was in the Corwith cemetery.
Mrs. Chambers died Sunday at Mason City following a long illness. She is survived by her husband, three children an five grandchildren.
