Corwith rites planned for J. W. Walker

CORWITH: J. W. Walker, 86, a retired farmer, died Tuesday at the Good Samaritan Home, Algona. Funeral services will be Friday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist Church here. The Rev. Louis Runion will officiate. Burial with Boughton Funeral Home in charge.

Born in Gettysburg, Pa., March 8, 1874, he was the son of William and Charlotte Fischer Walker. He came to Renwick when a young man and was married to Anna Lease, Sept. 23, 1903. They farmed near Renwick, Wesley and Corwith. He had served on the Corwith police force and city council, operated a meat market and raised livestock.

Surviving are his wife and a son Raymond.
