Charles Munson dies at Garner; Rites Tuesday
GARNER: Funeral services for Charles E. Munson, 61, will be held from the Bohn Funeral Home in Garner, at 2 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Keith Wiyinger of the Bethel Baptist Church of Britt will be in charge. Burial will be in the Concord Township Cemetery, Garner, with the Bohn Funeral Home in charge. He died at his home here early Saturday following a lingering illness.
The son of Ben and Emma Munson, he was born in Louisa County, Aug. 1, 1900. Oct. 17, 1947, he was married to Mildred Munson. The couple moved to Garner Aug. 1, 1960.
Surviving are his wife and a son, Danny, at home; two stepsons, Harvey and Donald Munson, California; two brothers, Floyd, Summit, S. D.; and Henry, Independence; three half brothers, Benjamin, New Boston, Ill., Donald, Moline, Ill., and Lewis, Sioux City; two sisters, Mrs. Howard (Martha) Kingland, Forest City; Mrs. Charles (Edna) Crose, Mulberry, Fla.; three half sisters; Mrs. Walter (Georgia) Finch, Hampton, Ill., Mrs. Ruby Colder, Moline, Ill., and Mrs. Raymond (Lola) Inman, Fulton, Ill.
