W. E. Chandler dies at 83; Rites at Britt

BRITT: Winton E. Chandler, 83, died Thursday at the Good Samaritan Home, Algona. Funeral services will be Monday at 10 a.m. at St. Patrick Church here. The Rev. Justin Kane will officiate. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery with Boughton Funeral Home in charge. Rosary will be Sunday at 8 p.m. at the Boughton Funeral Home.

Born March 12, 1878, at Lee, Ill., he was married at Lee, Feb. 12, 1902, to Margaret Anna Davis. She died in 1932. They farmed near Britt more than 30 years.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Merle (Lucille) Mowbray, Denver, Colo.; Mrs. Victor (Bernardine) Bratt, Austin, Minn.; Mrs. Robert (Kathleen) Jacobson, Britt; three sons, William, Bellflower, Calif.; Donald, Garden Grove, Calif.; Eugene, Westminster, Calif., and seven grandchildren.
