Services for Mrs. Mary Lassahn, 82, of Britt, who died Oct. 24 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Mason City were held 10:30 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 27 at the United Methodist Church in Britt with Rev. J. Larry Vallery as officiant.

Mrs. Ruby Hodson, organist, accompanied soloist, Eugene Guenther. Ushers were Gilbert Guenther and Mahlon Yaggy.

Casketbearers were Homer Johnson, Emanuel Peterson, Henrick Peterson, Jake Lolling, Dick Leerar and Gilbert Johnson. Burial was in Evergreen Cemetery at Britt.

Visitation was held at the Cataldo Funeral Home in Britt.

Mrs. Mary Louise Lassahn, the daughter of Dick and Martha (Dallman) Spieker was born Dec. 28, 1901 on a farm near Titonka. She attended schools in the rural areas of Titonka and Woden.

September 19, 1928 she was married to Fred Lassahn at Garner. They farmed in the area east of Woden and also in the Crystal Lake vicinity until Fred's death December 10, 1969. In 1971 she moved to Britt.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, Kings Daughters and Britt Senior Citizens.

She is survived by two sisters: Mrs. Frank (Mabel) Johnson of Britt and Mrs. Anna Hillenga of Algona; and a brother, Jerry Spieker and his wife, Lucille, of Forsyth, Montana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; her parents; three brothers: Martin Spieker, Lawrence Spieker and an infant brother; three sisters: Mrs. Ollie (Della) Foerstch, Adeline Spieker and Helen Spieker.
