Jerome LaBounty dies in Arizona

KANAWHA: Jerome D. LaBounty, 71, died of a heart attack Friday at Phoenix, Ariz., where he had gone to spend the winter. Funeral arrangements are incomplete at Boughton Funeral Home in Britt. Services will be in Kanawha Methodist Church with burial in Evergreen Cemetery.

Born in Illinois March 25, 1894, he was the son of William and Katherine Kersey LaBounty. He was married to Emma Faust at Kanawha Jan. 3, 1917. They farmed in this area and he was Hancock County field assessor the last 24 years.

Surviving are his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Merle (Marjorie) Larson, Kanawha; a son, Harvey LaBounty, Humboldt; seven grandchildren, a brother, Joseph, Los Angeles; a sister, Mrs. C. A. (Mabel) Habel, Phoenix.
