Anna Bohn, 94

Services for Mrs. Anna Bohn, 94, of Garner, who died Sunday at Hancock County Memorial Hospital in Britt were held 1:30 pm, Tuesday, Jan 11 at St. John’s Lutheran Church northeast of Garner with Rev. Reynold B. Petersen as officiant.

Mrs. Ronald Boehnke served as organist. Ushers were Robert Olson and Laurice Woiwod. Casket bearers were Arlo Woiwod, Ernest Woiwod, Vincent Woiwood, Reuben Grell, Robert Bohn and Wibur Hollatz. Burial was in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery near Garner. Visitation was held at the Cataldo Funeral Chapel in Garner.

Mrs. Anna Elizabeth Bohn, the daughter of Carl and Anna (Schiska) Woiwod was born March 22, 1888 at Garner. She attended the rural schools of Concord Township. September 18, 1917 she was married to Edward Bohn at St. John’s Lutheran Church. They farmed northwest of Ventura until retiring in 1951 when they moved into Garner. After her husband’s death, February 7, 1955, she continued to make her home in Garner.

She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, L.W.M.L. and the Birthday Club.

She is survived by her children, Milton E. Bohn and his wife Darlene, of Ventura, Hilda Bohn of Mason City and Thelma Bohn of Garner; two grandchildren; on great-grandchild and a brother William Woiwod and his wife Dorothy, of Sun City, Calif. She is also survived by a brother-in-law, Louis Grell of Ventura and three sisters-in-law, Mrs. Lula Woiwod of Garner, Mrs. Elfrieda Woiwod of Clear Lake, and Mrs. Martha Woiwod of Evansville, Indiana.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward; a daughter, Mildred; her parents; two sisters, Otillie and Mrs. Lena Grell, and six brothers Frank Woiwod, Otto Woiwod, Edward Woiwod, Walter Woiwod, Alfred Woiwod and Carl Woiwod.
