Henry Korte's Mother Dies At Age Of 91

Woden - Funeral services for Mrs. John Korte Sr. were held Saturday at 1 p.m. at the Jacob Kurtzlaben home followed by services at the Presbyterian church in Woden with the Rev. Henry Kruhe of Woodbine, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Albert Kinsler, pastor of the church.

Mrs. Korte died Wednesday afternoon at a Cherokee hospital where she had been the past four years. She was 91 years of age. Mrs. Korte was born in Germany and after coming to America she lived in the vicinity of Ackley and Woden her entire life.

Surviving are 9 children: Mrs. Jacob Kurtzlaben, of Woden, Mrs. Henry Schroeder of Britt, Mrs. Albert Korte of Parkersburg, Henry of Titonka, Mrs. O. C. Hetzler of Moulton, John of Buffalo Center, Mrs. Arend Swalve of Lakota, Fred of Britt and Mrs. Spencer Fazille of Des Moines. Her husband died several years ago. Burial was in Bingham Township cemetery.
