Rites Saturday for Martha Heise at Corwith Church

Corwith - Funeral services for Martha Rose Fetter Heise were held Saturday at St. John Lutheran Church. Burial was at the Corwith Cemetery.

Martha Heise died Wednesday evening at her home. She was born Aug. 7, 1885, in the Province of Poznan, Germany. In 1902 , at 17, she immigrated with 10 members of her family, including her parents, to the United States. The settled in Forest City and later came to the Corwith community. In 1908 she was married to John Heise, who preceded her in death in 1953.

Survivors include a daughter, Gertrude Thronbury, and a son, Arnold Heise, Corwith; three granddaughters; one great granddaughter, a sister in law who lived with her, Alma Heise; four sisters, and two brothers.

The Osman Funeral Home, Britt, was in charge.
